Marc's 5th Birthday

Yesterday we went to a kids playground that was just the next suburb over, that I didn't know anything about until now, for Jeremy's nephew Marc's 5th Birthday. It was nothing major, it was just us and the kids so they could have fun and play around. Us adults just sat while drinking our mocha's, eating hot chips and taking photos. Jeremy and his brother-in-law were playing though, especially Jeremy.. trying to sneak on the jumping castles haha.

It was such a good location. It wasn't as busy as it would be in any other play centres. Those that are local, the place is called "Kidz Fun Factory" and is based in Minchinbury. We're actually considering to have Jaiden's birthday party there this year (still quite a while to go). The entry we paid was only $8/ea and you only have to pay for the kids!

Afterwards, we went to Lone Pine Tavern to have lunch. We were all so full, we couldn't walk and we just wanted to sleep lol. Then came back home for some dessert (I bought ice blocks) and just chilled. Most of us ended up having the nap that we wanted.

A good family day out.

3 in 1 birthdays

On Saturday we went to lunch to celebrate Mother-in-law's, sister-in-law's and grandma-in-law's birthday. If you're a new follower, you might not have known that these ladies share the same birthday.

We had our lunch at The Bavarian Bier Cafe in Parramatta, together with the kids. Yes, they were allowed (obviously). Jeremy had his usual 1L mango beer, we were supposed to be sharing but I didn't feel like anything but just water lol. There were a few of us that got the platter which was so yum! Too bad I couldn't finish all of it :( I should've taken it home cos I'm really wanting some now lol.

*Apologies for bad quality photos. They're captured in RAW, therefore when uploaded it will be bad quality*

TWENTY

Yesterday was my 20th birthday! Happy Birthday to me!!

And to celebrate, on Friday night I went out for a couple of drinks with my work friends and then headed out to the clubs for a friends birthday but didn't even see him once, and so it felt like everyone was there for mine instead haha. On Saturday, we went out to lunch with Jeremy's family  at Seven Hills Buffet. It was our first time going there and it was pretty cool, how they had a mini sushi train and a fondue fountain, but it was just a hassle because you know how it is with buffets and line ups!

I'll be celebrating my birthday this coming Saturday though with all my friends. Just the typical clubbing thing, I really couldn't think of anything else that everyone can be at, so it lead me to organise this. I'll be with my close girlfriends during the day and we'll be getting a hotel room for ourselves, have a little chill in the room before the night out.

As for presents, I just got money from the in-laws, a necklace from SIL & BIL and from Jeremy, he doesn't know yet lol. But he'll be paying for my manicure and pedicure this week and still trying to find those spa packages for me. I didn't want much this year, all I wanted was to go to Philippines for a holiday and hopefully we will be. So Jeremy and I made an agreement to just get presents no more than $100 each since we're saving for our holiday.

Turning 20 isn't so bad. Everyone/a lot of people dread turning older, but I have no issues with it. I guess because I've always just felt so much older than I actually am and being a 'teen' just made me feel so young lol. I know later on the years I'll want to be at a certain age again, but for now I'm pretty content.

Here are some photos from Friday night and yesterdays lunch.

Lunch Date

For our outing this week, we decided that it just be Jeremy and I. Since Jaiden was still recovering from the fever, even though he seemed fine, Jeremy insisted that he stay home and not in the cold since he just got over it. So we made it our 'date day'.

As originally planned, we went to Holy Basil in Canley Vale. This place has been talked up so much and so it had to be on our list to go and check it out. I really like the interior of the place, though I thought it was a lot bigger than it actually was lol. We had Panang Curry, Some seafood dish Jeremy ordered - with steamed rice, avocado shakes each, which I didn't even get half way through! It was so big and too cold to drink lol and a serve of their 'famous' Fried Ice Cream. It was honestly the best thing out! I was so glad that I found a really good tasting fried ice cream! My search has now ended.. even Jeremy said it was the best he's ever tasted..

It was a good day out, cruising and just being the two of us. I've missed days out and dates like this.

The start of something new

This morning I had woken up to a phone call from one of the companies I had an interview for yesterday morning. The lady, named Jenny, had informed me that the employers and managers were very pleased with my results with yesterdays testings and exercises they provided/required us to do. She asked if I was still interested in the position and if I would accept. Of course I said yes! After the phone conversation, I texted Jeremy, my best friend Mariecar and our BIL Manuel, telling them about the job & asking Manuel advice & his opinion on it. He raised some questions which lead me to ring Jenny and ask her the questions and she informed me a little more about it.

When Jeremy came back home from his lecture, we got ready to do a couple of errands and to celebrate. First off, we went to the doctors to get Jaiden's 18 months check up and vaccine. It was so cute when he was getting his needle, he yelled "oooowwww" when they stuck it into his arm. Then stopped sooking as soon as the jelly bean that had been given to us was in his mouth and he was happily munching on it. Then afterwards, we headed to the shops to have a 'celebration lunch' at Hogs Breath Cafe and stuffed ourselves with some yummy ribs, salad, curly chips, steak and chicken. After our yummy lunch, we headed to the library where I had to print some papers/contracts off and to see a J.P (Justice of Peace) to sign my i.d photocopies. Lastly, we went to the City Council where I asked information on Family Day Care for Jaiden and had jotted down some available places.

Once we got home, Jeremy and I ducked out to the shops for a little bit to buy a printer, but didn't have enough funds until Thursday to buy ink with it (if you buy ink with the printer, it's 50% off), so we figured we would just wait then and save a few dollars on ink. Instead, we walked around while I look at some corporate clothing, but didn't buy anything because Jeremy said he will take me shopping on Thursday night to buy some :) he's such a good hubby.

I'm so glad that this has come up and that I've been accepted. The role is a Business Trainee so I'd also be doing a Certificate III course in Business as well as working in the firm. Even though the salary isn't it's best, this has to be one of the best starting points for the work force. It just includes so much things in one little package; a stable job, a qualification and earning money all at the same time. Jenny stated that it should take up to around a year to complete, which isn't long at all, and at the end of that, I will have/be on a better earning salary and have a qualification to add onto my achievements. I know in the long run, it will benefit me with the experience I gained if I want to change firms or move up positions. Everyone has a starting point in their career, either being great or not so good, but in the long run and in the future, I know I will be thankful to have this opportunity lay upon me.

As for Jaiden's care, Jeremy only works twice a week - Wednesday & Thursday. Every other day, he'll be taking care of Jaiden. I'm glad this will happen because then it gives them the time to have that 'father-son' bond I've always wanted them to have, they can have moments to share to everyone, including myself and make my heart melt (lol). For the two days Jeremy is working, his mum has kindly offered to change her day off from the Tuesday to a Wednesday and on Thursday, since the dad gets home at 8am from work, Jeremy's grandma will take care of him until dad wakes up/catches up on his sleep and takeover in the afternoon. Our grandma is pretty capable of taking care of Jaiden, he just watches tv with her, eats and plays by himself. She usually takes care of him while I'm sleeping in haha.

I'm going to miss being around Jaiden a lot! It's going to be such a different change for me, from being a full time mother for 18 months to being a full time worker and part-time student. But at the end of the day, I get to go home to him and his daddy. I can't ask for anything else right now. My plans are slowly going into place and how I pictured/planned it out to be.
